¡Ay Carumba! Enchilada Sauce |
ENCHILADA SAUCE:2 cups chicken broth Bring chicken broth to a boil in a small sauce pot over high heat. In a separate bowl combine flour with water into a slurry, making sure to get rid of all the lumps. Add Enchilada Sauce mix to chicken broth, whisking to combine. Drizzle flour into sauce whisking constantly. Return to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer for 5 minutes or until thickened. This sauce is just as tasty if it's prepared ahead of time. Just note that the sauce will form a skin. Just press a piece of plastic wrap on top of the sauce and it will be waiting for you when you need it!
